What an interesting year it has been, because of all the COVID related issues, we canceled our May camping trip, stayed home and did some home improvements. By August however, we were more then ready to escape for a bit, we headed to Poncho’s Pond in Ludington, Michigan. Very nice park, very nicely kept up, Continue Reading……
2020 Camping Season
Well May has come and gone and instead of taking our normal trip up to Empire we chose to stay home and re-side our house. Ironically this was a decision that we made before the governor extended the “Stay Home” order so it all worked out. We are now anxiously waiting for August to get Continue Reading……
Think Spring?!
As I sit here looking out the window with about 4 inches of snow on the ground and more in the upcoming forecast, I find myself daydreaming about warmer days, less snow and CAMPING SEASON!!! This year we are going once again to Indigo Bluff, for the main reason being it will be Duke’s maiden Continue Reading……
Dog Days of Fall?
We enjoyed going about a month earlier then last year, the weather was perfect and the park was not to overly busy. We had great neighbors on both sides and even tho we didn’t have a waterfront site, we did enjoy our views from across the “street” So we took our annual trek up to Continue Reading……

May 2019 Empire, Michigan

2019 Spring Fever
The daylight is getting later and the temps are slowly rising, we are seeing more sun then clouds and that is a very good thing these days. February was brutal to say the least. Several good dumps of snow and some very frigid temps. It is nice to be well over half way into March. Continue Reading……
Future Plans
Today, the first Monday after the long Thanksgiving weekend, we are getting slammed with our first real snow “storm” of the season. As I write this and look out the window, it looks like one of those TV commercials you see about driving in the winter, almost white out conditions. We have about 4 inches Continue Reading……
Changing Seasons
It would appear that we are marching into that time of year when daylight is less, temps are low and that other form of precipitation starts to accumulate on everything including your camper. I for one, am going to use this season to get organized. After our final camping trip to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan Continue Reading……
