2023 Camping Postponed

Posted on December 6, 2022December 6, 2022 by kbailey2018

We have made the decision to suspend camping in 2023 for a VERY exciting reason, our son Aaron and his finance Rachel are getting married in Las Vegas, Nevada in September. So as part time campers we need to pack away our available vacation time for this monumental trip. We are excited beyond belief to Continue Reading……

Posted on September 7, 2022September 7, 2022 by kbailey2018

Future Plans – I have my eye on someplace new again. Normally our first trip of the season is to someplace we have been before and then the last trip is to someplace new. I am changing it up for next year and I think BOTH trips will be to new places. It’s all about Continue Reading……

Post Last Trip 2022

Posted on August 29, 2022August 29, 2022 by kbailey2018

Sad but true, our camping season has concluded. It was a short but VERY sweet trip to Sleepy Hollow State Park. I will say this much, we WILL be going back to this campground!!!! It is beautiful, quiet, the upkeep is remarkable! And the park rangers are super friendly and helpful. We have zero negative Continue Reading……

Pre Last Trip Of This Season

Posted on July 25, 2022July 25, 2022 by kbailey2018

We are heading someplace new this August, Sleepy Hollow State Park We don’t normally go to state parks because of the size of our rig, this might be something that needs to change because if you browse thru the pictures of the various parks, I think we wouldn’t have any problem finding a spot 😉  Continue Reading……

Post First Trip

Posted on June 6, 2022June 6, 2022 by kbailey2018

An executive decision was made towards the end of this trip, the decision was that any future trips to the Soo will take place later in the year due to the “weather” or lack there of. I am not normally a great complainer but the weather on this trip just was not conducive to be Continue Reading……

All The Things

Posted on March 30, 2022March 30, 2022 by kbailey2018

As we get closer to getting things ready to leave on our first camping trip, I start thinking about food prep, I like making – cooking things at home that we can dig into while camping, like casseroles, breakfast burritos, waffles, salads etc.. Let’s face it, you go camping to relax, not spend all sorts Continue Reading……

Camping Season 2022

Posted on March 11, 2022March 30, 2022 by kbailey2018

I sit here on March 11th looking out the window at a fresh coating of that “white” stuff, and more falling. Makes me that much more anxious to go camping!! Our first trip of this season is heading back to our all time favorite place, Aune Osborn in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. We have a Continue Reading……

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Posted on November 23, 2021March 30, 2022 by kbailey2018

We are just 2 days away from the big turkey day. Am I ready? Not at all, tonight and tomorrow night I shall be busy prepping. We are hosting this year and are expecting 5 or so people for dinner, not huge I know but anytime you have “company” for dinner you feel the pressure Continue Reading……

Fall Is “Leaf”ing

Posted on November 3, 2021March 30, 2022 by kbailey2018

If these past two weeks have taught me anything is to appreciate every second of nice weather that is presented to you. Even if you just take a walk around the outside perimeter of your home, chat with your neighbors, play with your pets. Just enjoy it. Upon my alarm sounding this morning, I did Continue Reading……

Campers Cove

Posted on September 8, 2021November 23, 2021 by kbailey2018

We arrived at our site around 3pm on Friday August 27th, our drive up was wonderful and peaceful and arriving to much cooler temps was a huge blessing. My initial impression of the campground was not the best, it was probably the most rustic campground we have ever stayed at. The roads are very much Continue Reading……
